Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using BolScan ('the App'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all versions of BolScan, including the macOS and iOS applications distributed through the Apple App Store.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, BolScan grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control.

• The iOS license covers use on iPhone and iPad devices registered to your Apple ID.
• The macOS license covers use on Mac computers registered to your Apple ID.
• The Universal license covers use on all of the above.
• You may not distribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or sublicense the App.

BolScan offers 10 free BOL extractions upon installation — no account or payment required. After the free trial is exhausted, a one-time in-app purchase is required to continue extracting documents.

• All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. BolScan never handles your payment information.
• Purchases are non-consumable and tied to your Apple ID — they do not expire.
• You may restore your purchase on any compatible device signed in to the same Apple ID by using 'Restore Purchases' in the app.
• Purchases are subject to Apple's App Store refund policy. Contact Apple for refund requests.
• Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region.

You agree to use BolScan only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the App to process documents you are not authorised to access.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
• Resell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the App without our written consent.
• Attempt to circumvent purchase verification or licence enforcement mechanisms.

BolScan uses Apple's Vision OCR framework to extract data from Bill of Lading documents. OCR accuracy depends on document quality, image resolution, carrier formatting, handwriting, stamps, and other factors outside our control.

BolScan is provided as a productivity tool to assist data entry — it is not a substitute for professional review. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of extracted data before using it in any business, legal, or financial context.

BolScan makes no warranty that extracted data is complete, accurate, or error-free.

BolScan and all related logos, designs, software, and content are the intellectual property of BolScan and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of all documents and data you process through the App. BolScan claims no rights over your documents or extracted data.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BolScan and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

In no event shall BolScan's total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

The App is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and BolScan only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. However, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the App Store Terms of Service, the App Store Terms of Service shall prevail.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through an app update or notice within the App. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Your continued use of BolScan after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
